अश्वत्थामा बलिर्व्यासो हनुमांश्च विभीषणः ,
क्र्पः परशुरामश्च सप्तैते चिरजीविनः |

Ashwatthaam, Bali, Vyaasa, Hanumaan, Vibhishan,
Kripaacharya and Parashuraam are the seven immortals.

Importance: Mantra for attaining immortality.
Ashwatthaam: Son of Dronaacharya, slayer of the sons of Pandavas
Bali: Bali Chakravarthi, who was granted the boon by Vishnu that he can have his desire fulfilled of being the next Indra, before merging with Vishnu. He expounds the virtues of valour and charity.
Vyaasa: Author of the Vedas
Hanumaan: Son of Vayu (Air)
Vibhishan: Brother of Ravana
Kripaacharya: Teacher of Parikshit (Grandson of Arjuna)
Parashuraam: Master of all astras (missiles), sastras (handheld weapons) and divine weapons.
