Temptation -DOLA

posted Aug 3, 2014, 12:17 PM by A Billion Stories

I have a window
A wide, open window
That helps me see
The world in its glory
And the rhythm of life in motion
In the far distance,
Where I could never be.

But I see the serpentine road
That blurs my vision
And beckons me to wander 'n fall
Like autumn leaves
And snowflakes
So I forget my mission.

All I ask for
Is the strength to hold on
To the dreams I had savored,
Woven with fears
In threads of gold;
Treasured in a corner
close to my heart;
Secrets I cherished
Never to be told.
